"Growing up with traditional values has proven to be a great benefit in my life. I incorporate traditional values with scientific knowledge to assist me at my work all the time. Even at the community college level, I found my classes easier than most of my classmates. When they were studying the differences in characteristics and habitat between fish species such as pike, walleye, and sturgeon, I was spending some quality time playing with my children. I had spent so much time outdoors with my Grandpa and uncles—I already knew a lot of the material that my classmates had to learn. "
