"In grade 12 I attended Daring Lake Tundra Science Camp. Students, Elders and scientists spent nine days on the land studying vegetation, birds, the ice age, and eskers. The Elders taught us how to make stone tools and told a lot of stories. At the end of the camp, I had life-long friendships and I knew that I had to come back to the barren lands and be a biologist."
