Getting your Career Journey organized is a great start, but continuing the journey is the real challenge. Believe in yourself. Keep your Journey moving forward and on track. Let these High Five messages motivate and inspire you to achieve the future you want.

1. Welcome Change
Each day presents new changes for you, your EnviroCareer goal, your plans, and your life. Learning to adapt is the key to keeping up.

  • Seek to understand change. Ask your Elders about the changes they have witnessed during their lifetimes.
  • Invite change. "Bring it on!" is the attitude to have.
  • Initiate change. Your passion and enthusiasm will inspire others to follow your lead.

2. Focus On Your Journey, Not Just The Destination
Your Career Journey is filled with all sorts of goals and experiences, not just your dream job. Experience each day of your journey.

  • Honour the lessons you learn, both on your own and from your Elders.
  • Celebrate your progress along the way.
  • Commit to a life full of opportunities and goals, then make it happen.
  • Listen to your spiritual guides and watch for the sign-posts along the way.

3. Continue Learning
Learning happens everywhere, even here in Career Journey. Be inspired, then reflect, investigate, decide, and reflect some more. Enjoy the gift of learning.

  • Get excited about new ideas.
  • Try new things—the possibilities are endless and the choice is yours.
  • Seize every learning opportunity.
  • Recognize your teacher—from Elders to children to nature that surrounds you.
  • Record the things you learn and celebrate your achievements.

4. Listen to Your Spirit
In a world full of changes, our spirit—our values, beliefs and passions—give us something we can rely on. Goals and circumstances will change, but our spirit helps us stay on a path that works for us. Let your spirit guide you to the future you want.

  • Trust in who you are.
  • Let your dreams shape your goals.
  • Go after the things you want, not just the thing you think you should do.

5. Connect with Your Community
We all have people in our lives who help us make career decisions and who support us along our journey. Who are your supporters? Who do you support? Rely on your community and let them rely on you.

  • Value your community as a resource.
  • Seek advice about your goals from your Elders, teachers, role models, family, and friends.
  • Offer advice and support to others.
  • Identify and network with support people for each of your goals
