Building Environmental Aboriginal Human Resources (BEAHR) wishes to express its appreciation to all of the organizations and individuals who contributed their time and effort to the development of Aboriginal EnviroCareers. Special thanks are extended to the environmental practitioners who provided their personal stories for use in this Tool Kit.

In particular, we would like to thank the many Aboriginal students and teachers from across Canada who participated in surveys and focus tests in the development of Aboriginal EnviroCareers.

Further, we'd like to thank the id8 design group, Cattroll Photo Associates, SAY Magazine, Style-Craft Printing Ltd., SLM Direct Marketing Ltd., the Aboriginal Human Resource Development Council of Canada, and Syntax Language Services Ltd. for their role in the development and support of this project.

Special thanks to the Aboriginal EnviroCareers National Steering Committee, who guided the development of this project and provided valuable feedback throughout the process.

BEAHR has developed this Tool Kit to enhance public access to environmental career information. Please note, however, that while we will endeavour to keep the information up-to-date, the environment sector will continue to grow and change over time.

Substantial effort has been given to researching the information contained in this Tool Kit. At the same time, however, the opinions expressed by the individuals profiled here are their own and do not necessarily reflect the opinions and experiences of everyone in their occupation.

Note
The content of this Tool Kit can be copied and distributed freely by environmental educators, practitioners, students, and Aboriginal groups for use in career development, research, or classroom activities. No part of the Aboriginal EnviroCareers Facilitator's Tool Kit, however, can be sold or traded for personal or corporate gain.

A Note Regarding Salary Information

Individual salaries will vary depending on a variety of factors, such as the size and type of employer, the experience of the employee, the level of responsibility, and the region a person works in.
